The Second meeting of the Thematic Working Group on Solid and Hazardous Waste (Waste TWG) was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 2-3 December 2008. The meeting 1) reviewed the reports of status-quo and issues of municipal and medical waste
management, 2) shared good practices and lessons learnt on municipal and medical waste management, and 3) discussed and identify appropriate recommendations drawn from the status-quo and issues of waste management |

The first meeting of the Thematic Working Group (TWG) on Solid and Hazardous Waste(SHW) was held in Furama City Centre Hotel Singapore on 28-29 February 2008. The Meeting agreed to 1) create national inter-ministry/agency steering committee on (medical) waste management in response to TWG; 2) to Identify national contact points, and; 3) to highlight National Environment and Health Action Plans (NEHAP). |
