High Level Officials' Meeting

High Level meeting is scheduled every 18 months to discuss issues related to the Regional Forum.

2009
Fourth High-Level Officials' Meeting
The 4th HIGH-LEVEL meeting on Environment and Health will review progress in the implementation of the regional charter. The meeting is tentatively scheduled for 24-25 March 2009 in Beijing, China.


2007
Third Regional High-Level Officials' Meeting
High-Level Officials from 14 participating countries attended the meeting. The meeting updated the regional and national activities since the second High-Level Official’s Meeting, finalize the Thematic Working Group Workplans and discussed on the Bangkok Declaration.


2005
Second Regional High-Level Officials' Meeting
The second High-Level meeting was conducted in December 2005 in Bangkok, to discuss a Charter of the Regional Forum, and a draft Charter was produced. It was also decided to convene the first ministerial Regional Forum on Environment and Health towards the end of 2006, where the charter of the Regional Forum would be endorsed, and to agree on work plans to address priority environmental health issues.


2004
First Regional High-Level Officials' Meeting
The first High-Level Officials’ meeting was convened in Manila in November 2004, involving Director and Director General level officials of the Southeast and East Asian countries. The meeting recommended that a Ministerial Regional Forum be convened.
